And I received this from a friend after forwarding the above to him: This is a wreck result, but I saw something similar happen on a boat ramp at Keystone Lake in OK some 24 years ago. A guy was loading his hemi-powered jet boat onto his trailer when his throttle linkage broke in the wide open position when he goosed it to get it on the trailer. It wedged itself into the back window of the station wagon pulling the trailer and the engine nearly blew up before he could recover and shut the key off. Quite damaging, loud and scary to those of us waiting our turn to use the ramp. Fortunately it was a three wide ramp and didn't close it completely down. Links to: |
